Movies To Pair With Your Wine Night

I know you probably don’t need a reason to open a bottle of wine after a long day, but it’s national wine day today, so there’s a reason if you needed one. When it comes to wine and movies, there’s a lot of pairings that can happen, to which I believe are all great. But if you don’t know where to start, follow my guide and I’ll be sure you’ll have the best night in a long time!

Cabernet Sauvignon - Horror
We all know that a Cab Sav is rich in flavor and gives off some dark vibes. And you know what is rich in plots and makes you want to turn off all the lights - horror movies. Like a Cab Sav, horror movies are full of surprises, have a range of flavors (or characters), and best of all, will make an impact on your life one way or another.

Here are a few horror movies that will pair nicely with your dry and flavorful red wine!

Champagne - Action
The ultimate wine has entered the chat. I love a good champagne as much as the next person and it’s my go to for that bottle popping and exciting moment that we all crave. If you’re needing some excitement from the movies, you know that action will be on your side. Champagne & action movies bring the heart-pounding and unforgettable moments that are worth a celebration.

You want action, I'll give you the bottle popping thrill-ride you’ve been seeking.

Merlot - Suspense
Let me describe a suspense movie in three words - complex, dramatic, intense. That’s a coincidence too because that’s exactly how I would describe a suspense filled movie too. Suspense movies and a good merlot are popular among the crowds and all it takes is a little research to find one that suits you the best!

Okay, I won’t keep you in suspense any longer…or will I?

Pinot Noir - Drama
There’s nothing better than a wine that pairs with just about anything. And when it comes to drama in the movies, you know there’s endless combinations like a comedy, tragedy, psychological and even romance. So when it comes to a glass of Pinot Noir and drama movies, you’ll never have the same experience twice!

Not to be dramatic, but I found the best four movies that will give you a deep emotional connection with a side of surprise.

Pinot Grigio - Comedy
Ah yes, the simple, classic, and dominant wine has entered the chat. A Pinot Grigio is known for its light range which is exactly what you’ll be getting anytime that you watch a comedy. These two pair the best together since they’re both familiar experiences and there’s really one for just about everyone to enjoy!

Need a laugh-out-loud moment to make your week better? Open the bottle of Pinot G and get your comedy on.

Rosé - Romance
This is a no-brainer when it comes to pairings because you can’t have romance without a rose (or rosé, but you get my point). A Rosé is sweet, stands the test of time, and honestly, a girl’s best friend. And that’s how I feel when it comes to romance movies. There’s nothing better in my mind than a wine that you can love and get you all up in your feels.

Get the sparks flying with the romance that you may (or may not) be missing from your life. These stories will get you swooning instantly.

Riesling - Adventure
A Riesling has a reputation for being the type the one in the group that is a little zesty and the most expressive. That’s exactly how the adventure movies' vibes are too as they typically are focused on getting out of a comfort zone and searching for something hidden. With a Riesling and an adventure movie, you’ll be taken around the world with taste and on a quest for excitement.

So, let’s go on an adventure with a nice Riesling and a story that will virtually get you out and into an unforgettable journey.
